The video and the actual kit appear to be two different systems (video has it mounted upfront and on the left, kit has it mounted under the footpegs.
But still. I NEED IT. 200hp, 100ft-lbs of torque. Re-gear for higher speed.
NEEEEDDDDD

Remember when you were griping about how a stock MT-10 would eat up rear tires...
yeah...

This turbo kit, or your skin. Pick only one.
200+ hp on a supernaked.....Shorthand way of asking the question “How painful can the very air I breathe be, really?”

The turbo kit.
KTMs super duke makes 180 HP. another 45 or so shouldn’t be THAT bad.
Worst case I add the top faring from an R1 to it.

I’m more concerned about throwing a rod, when that throw would end in my foot. I’ll stick to NA bikes.

All I can imagine is how incredibly sketchy turbo lag would be on a bike

You foot it not reall all that close?
and the motor is originally derived from the R1S, which makes about 200HP in stock form. This is really just p;laying catch-up @ 7psi.
wonder what it can do at 15psi...

that is one thing that I have genuine concerns over. I’m thinking to buy it, ride the bike for 4 or 5 years, THEN turbo it. The bike has TCS and Wheelie control, so i think I’ll be fine.

It’s not going to throw a rod from max power, it’s when the aftermarket kit doesn’t vent pressure fast enough at redline, and the engine goes super lean at 12k rpm and suffers detonation hundreds of times in rapid succession.
I agree, the foot’s not really that close, but everything is close enough to not enjoy that.

mm, I dont think thats THAT much of an issue with such a small air box. POlus, their kits for the 09 have been out for a few years now, and no one has had any major issues (a drastic increase in fuel and rear tire consumption was reported though)

Well, I mean, that’s how you know it’s working, right?

For the price of the kit you can get a used R1... and add a speaker to it that makes whooshing noises.

yes, but I would have to pay R1 insurance rates. With this kit I would not :)
